Member states of the EU possess autonomy in organizing their gambling services, provided they adhere to the foundational principles outlined in the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU), as interpreted by the Court of Justice of the EU. Of particular significance is the freedom to offer services or establish businesses in another EU member state.
